The book by historian K.A.Pisarenko tells the story of complex opposition in the Politburo, which launched immediately after the death of Lenin. In this struggle faced two of the principle of leadership: individual, supported by Stalin, and collective, which believed in the efficacy of the other members of the Politburo. As the author convincingly argues, this conflict continued after Stalin came to power.
