The author is a veteran of World War Two (western Front, 33rd Army, 557th PAP RGK) and took part in the Victory parade on the 24th of June 1945. From 1963 on he served in the General Staff and the MoD USSR where he actively took part in planning for arms production of arms development for the Soviet Army.
