Panzer IV - под таким названием эта боевая машина была почти не известна бойцам и командирам Красной Армии. Да и теперь, спустя 60 лет после окончания Великой Отечественной войны, сочетание немецких слов ‘панцер фир’ вызывает недоумение у многих. The author of the book began the war as a tank commander (KV-1S) and then served as the commander of a series of self-propelled artillery units (SU-122, SU-85) and ended the war commanding a T-34-85. He fought from Stalingrad to Koenigsberg.

The author describes his experiences in the biggest tank battles of World War Two from the Kursk campaign to L'vov, the Wisla-Oder and finally the assault on Berlin.
