The two-volume collection of documents from N.S. Khrushchev's personal archives provide one more opportunity to study one of the most remarkable and simultaneously most controlversial leader of the Soviet Union. Through his personal archives, we are able to get an image of Khrushchev not only as a great political figure, but also a private citizen and analyze his activities at various stages of his career. The documents here cover the period of the 1930s through the 1960s.
