Maria Sklodowska was an extraordinary woman. Not only was she interested in completely extraordinary things, such as chemical experiments and physical phenomena, but she also wanted to educate herself and became an outstanding scientist! She left Poland and studied at the Sorbonne in France. There she met her husband - Pierre Curie. While researching radioactivity in a duo with her husband, she conquered the world of science for the first time, which was honored by awarding them the Nobel Prize in Physics. Maria Sklodowska-Curie was the first woman in the world to receive this prestigious award. And she received it twice! The second time in the field of chemistry, in 1911, for isolating a new element - radium. And this is not the only element she discovered.
