This is Mahatma Ghandi, or, as his nickname suggests, a great spirit. Throughout his life, he proved that violence is the worst form of fighting for the equality of men and women. He worked for the poorest, for those despised solely because of the color of their skin, and for those who could not enjoy freedom. And all this with calm strength, unyielding perseverance, and a revolutionary program of nonviolent action. So effective that it led, among other things, to the independence of India!
