The manual is built on the basis of texts of the epistolary genre: letters and short messages. The authors have selected discussion topics for discussion in the group, directly related to the content of the letters and addressing the personal experience of students. The system of tasks proposed by the authors is aimed at updating and expanding the vocabulary, improving communication skills, developing reading and writing skills. The publication also includes lexical, grammatical and linguistic and cultural commentaries. Household, socio-cultural and other information contained in the publication will be especially interesting and useful to a young audience of 17 years and older. The lexical and grammatical material corresponds to the level of language proficiency TRKI-1 (B1), but in the classroom with a teacher it may be available at earlier levels.
