Three generations of the noble family of Mozhaisky serve the Motherland in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The novel consists of four interrelated parts: the production story 'Golden Beetle', designed as a memoir of the financial analyst Krimpay Mozhaisky, our contemporary; the space drama Mozhaisky's Plane, which describes battles on a universal scale unfolding in the basement of the estate of a modest retired officer Markian Mozhaisky; a historical essay by Professor Golgotha 'Temple' based on the reports of Methuselah of Mozhaisk about the construction of the Masonic Temple of Solomon behind barbed wire; and, finally, the operational sketch 'Kapustin's Feat', where the action is almost completely taken into the dream of the hero.
