The book is a retelling of the famous fairy tale by the French writer Charles Perrault 'Puss in Boots' in English. The protagonist of the tale is a brave and enterprising cat who helps his master achieve success and prosperity and win the heart of a beautiful princess. The text of the manual has been adapted for educational purposes up to the Beginner level. Each chapter is accompanied by a translation of new words and difficult expressions, as well as exercises aimed at testing understanding of the text, expanding vocabulary, practicing grammatical structures and developing oral speech skills. An English-Russian dictionary is placed at the end of the book. The manual is addressed to students in grades 3-4 of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums.
