Belkin' (1830) - the first work of Pushkin in prose, completed, printed and, alas, was not successful. It was written in just over 40 days in the village of Bolshoe Boldino in the autumn of 1830, where Pushkin languished, waiting to go to his bride: the way of life was closed due to cholera quarantines. However, it was this involuntary imprisonment that became one of the most productive periods.
