M. Yu. Lermontov is the second, after Pushkin, value in Russian literature of the first half of the 19th century. This edition publishes Lermontov's poems of different years, including such generally recognized masterpieces as 'Prisoner of the Caucasus', 'Mtsyri', 'Demon', as well as the novel 'A Hero of Our Time' - one of the pinnacles of Russian prose.
