'Fathers and Sons' is the most philosophical of all Turgenev's novels, in which the writer tried to comprehend the character and direction of 'new people' - heroes of a new era in Russian public life. The Noble Nest is the story of the hero's failed love, a strong spirit, a lot of survivors, the last representative of an old noble family, his broken hopes and noble humility with fate.
