This collective study incorporates articles by both Russian and foreign authors covering the period of the Great Patriotic War and the first post-war years. A lot of attention is has been devoted to the Soviet policy towards Poland, which made it possible to reflect the full measure of the complex and controversial nature of the Polish problem.
