Odna zhizn' - dve kul'tury [One Life - Two Cultures]

This educational manual presents 20 biographical texts about well-known and talented people who were born in Russia, but for one reason or another lived outside of Russia. These are people who have achieved the highest results in their professional fields and captivated those around them in the fields of science, art, and sport. The manual is intended for learners at various levels of Russian. Each chapter is divided into three parts; part A contains easier texts for those studying at the basic level. Part B is slightly more difficult, and is intended for learners with more experience with Russian (intermediate level). The final part of each chapter is devoted to Internet resources, in order to help develop aural skills and the ability to study independently. Grammatical and cultural tests are included to help reinforce the skills, habits, and information presented in this book. Answer keys are included for the tests and exercises.
