This edition presents Leo Tolstoy’s so-called ‘Caucasian works’: the short stories ‘The Raid,’ ‘The Wood-Felling,’ and ‘The Prisoner of the Caucasus,’ as well as the novellas *The Cossacks* and *Hadji Murat*.
