Viktor Dragunsky's stories about Denis Korablyov were first published in 1960, but children still enjoy reading them. This is hardly surprising, as today's schoolchildren are just like them. They recognize themselves in Dragunsky's characters and, finding themselves in similar situations, behave in exactly the same way. Because Dragunsky's kind, funny, and often instructive stories are timeless.
